Welcome to CampQ 2026

CampQ is designed to provide a welcoming space where children can explore new interests, express themselves creatively, build friendships, and simply enjoy being themselves. Every day offered new opportunities to learn, create, and connect.

Monday: Art & Music

Our first day was all about creativity, community, and celebrating what makes each of us unique. Campers listened to All Are Welcome, practiced Rainbow Breathing, and created puzzle pieces that came together to form one colorful community. They began crafting papier-mâché masks with community volunteer Sergio, made rainbow paper fans and tambourines, learned the Cat's Eye string activity, and joined their first Philosophy for Kids discussion with Dr. Jack Musselman.

Tuesday: Storytelling

Everyone has a story to tell. Tuesday encouraged campers to express themselves through writing, art, and imagination. Campers created comic strips, designed puppets, wrote poetry, explored letterpress printing with community volunteers Julia and Judy, built "Story in a Box" creations, and continued their papier-mâché masks while discovering new ways to share their ideas.

Wednesday: Nature & Animals

Wednesday invited campers to slow down, observe the world around them, and appreciate nature. After an outdoor mindfulness walk, campers created nature-inspired artwork, learned about insects, made clay impressions using leaves and plants, and enjoyed a special visit from therapy dogs Cooper and Pita from Divine Canines.

Thursday: Science & STEM

Curiosity took center stage on Thursday as campers became scientists, engineers, and musicians. They experimented with slime, explored sugar density through colorful science experiments, built grape structures, completed LEGO STEM challenges, and enjoyed a ukulele workshop led by community volunteer Mackenzie.

Friday: Art, Water, and Celebration

We wrapped up CampQ with a day full of creativity, celebration, and fun! Campers screen printed CampQ T-shirts, experimented with watercolor and pulled-string art, played with oobleck, enjoyed sidewalk chalk, cooled off on the waterslide, bounced in the bounce house, and celebrated an unforgettable week together with Kona Ice.

Curious about Philosophy for Kids?

One of the most unique parts of CampQ was our daily Philosophy for Kids sessions with Dr. Jack Musselman. Campers explored thoughtful questions about identity, friendship, fairness, kindness, technology, animals, and what it means to make good choices.
